On October 28th I attended Alice Cooper’s Theatre Of Death Tour at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. What a great show! Alice did not disappoint, as he opened the show with “School’s Out” and followed it with a bombardment of hit after hit. The entire show was a theatrical explosion of everything that reinforces Alice as the inventor of theatrical shock rock. There were new props; a giant syringe, a chamber of swords, a new guillotine and new gallows where Alice was put to death with each new prop, and he died, four times during the show. He gave us lots of musical tricks and threw treats to the audience. During Dirty Diamonds he threw beaded necklaces randomly into the crowd. He shook “Alice money” into the crowd during Billion Dollar Babies. The band was tight and kept us rocking until the very end of the show when, for the encore, Slash joined Alice on stage for a rocking rendition of “Schools Out”. Then class was dismissed with Alice hollering “Happy Halloween”. We all left the Nokia theatre as if we just got a “A” on our test – an “A” for ALICE!
Did I mention I am a (part time) professional Alice Cooper impersonator? Here I am on the left with my friend Kevin. We went to see Alice as Alice and Alice.

ALICE COOPER THEATER OF DEATH 2009 TOUR REVIEW:
As usual, Alice was in top form as were his supporting band members. However, if you came to hear Alice sing and were sitting in the Orchestra Pit you should have saved your money and stayed home.
Let’s also note the ‘once’ elaboate stage and props that have been an Alice staple have been radicaly reduced from previous shows.
We attended the show on October 28th 2009 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles unable to hear Alice at all.
When I brought this (politely) to the Sound Man, his immediate response was “GO F$&^K YOURSELF!” followed with “I’ll throw you out of the building!”
Hardly professional behavior.
In fact, I took this matter up with Mr. Cooper’s management while missing over 30 minutes of the show and was also a bit taken aback when I mentioned that Alice, a Christian man, probably wouldn’t approve of his mixer’s conduct and his manager replied, “Alice is a Rock Star Now and A Christian when he goes home.”
What planet are these guy’s actually on?
The audio was terrible throughout the show and the disrespect unimaginable. They never addressed the problems and we wasted nearly a thousand dollars that evening on Limo’s, tickets etc., for an entertainer who we couldn’t hear and that I have faithfully supported for over thirty years.
